Lubrizol Personal Home & Health Care Division (PHHC) is hiring for the position of North America Sales Manager for Lipotec USA, Inc. This individual will lead the sales team in the sale of solutions (products, concepts and services) for the active ingredients for skin care market. This position reports directly to the Global Sales Director, Active Ingredients for Skin Essentials and focuses on the overall strategic and tactical sales responsibility for growth and retention of key customers.

This leader is responsible for developing and implementing regional strategic growth programs. This position manages a team of account managers and is responsible for supporting and developing individual and team success. This leader must conceptualize, develop and implement a comprehensive sales execution strategy that drives expansion of the customer base, improves sales revenue, volume, gross profit, and market recognition of the active ingredients brands (Lipotec and Active Organics).

What you will do:

  • Perform activities required to lead field based sales team in their efforts to develop, maintain and grow customer relationships.

  • Additionally, perform account management activities within a regional territory to develop, maintain and grow customer relationships.

  • Serve as key executive management interface for customers.

  • Understand and communicate marketplace trends and related impact on short term and long term strategic planning.

  • Significant and regular travel (>50%) to customer and corporate locations is expected.

  • Support customer visits to manufacturing plants.

  • Support management team in development and execution of company strategies.

  • Provide customer feedback on performance and market perceptions.

  • Support trade show presence through booth support.

  • Drive organizational design, development and evolution to align with business strategy.

  • Manage all sales activities for a geographically dispersed team.

  • Responsible for achieving targets for regional sales revenue, volume, material margin and gross profit.

What you need:

  • Minimum four years of college with a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus in chemical engineering, biology or chemistry.

  • Previous experience selling high-tech skin care active ingredients is required.

  • Experience with sales process and development of sales strategies to earn new business.

  • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.

  • Previous management experience required.

  • Demonstrated skills at resolving conflicts, creating solutions and developing new product offerings for new business opportunities.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand how to read product specification drawings, read/understand quality documents, business agreements and raw material data sheets.
