Sales Account Manager

Location - The position is based in Italy, Spain or France, preferably close to the LZ local offices, and report into EMEA Business Organization.
Purpose of the job
Support and drive the growth strategy of the PCG Division by developing and managing the South Europe region (Portugal, Spain, Italy, South France).
Managing assigned customer accounts or prospects to sell PCG products within the South Europe region. Focusing on personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships, and offering solutions to specific customers’ problems.
Essential Job Functions
Lead the sales and market development activities to promote growth of the business for assigned accounts and territories.
Foster and grow the appropriate business relationships both internally and externally.
Develop and implement aggressive sales plans at territory and account level.
Effectively communicate with internal R&D, Marketing, and Operations group.
Develop, negotiate and close sales contracts and agreements.
Create and implement business account plans that are well aligned with the business strategy.
Comply with administrative requirements (call reports, forecasting, expense reports, etc.).
Represent Lubrizol at trade shows, conferences, and at local industry association and regional marketing meetings.
Engage closely with Marketing to identify and evaluate new, high value market opportunities.
Develop and manage annual territory budget.
Manage and lead distributors.
Identify and evaluate market opportunities to be able to enter new and growing applications, identify and support the launch of new products.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
Ideally a Bachelors degree in chemistry
A minimum 10 years of experience in the coating industry in a technical role and/or sales and marketing.
External customer relations experience.
Demonstrated successes in implementing new product, solution, technology and value selling programs.
Previous experience in managing regional/multi-national accounts, and distributors
Willing and able to travel 50% of the time
Strong record of growing sales
Tactical and strategic thinking and business acumen skills.
Fluent written and spoken English, and a second language within Spanish,French,Italian
Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal abilities and a strong drive for results.
Self-starter with a desire and ability to develop markets.
