The Contracts Manager will review, provide business input and manage Particle Science’s (PSI) contracting processes in alignment with our priorities and strategies. Contracts include Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Quality Agreements, Licensing Agreements and others.
The Contracts Manager will report to PSI’s Vice President of Client Services and will have the opportunity to interact with a wide cross-section of the organization, including Legal, Quality, Finance and Development.
This individual will be responsible for the drafting, review, negotiation, execution and maintenance of a variety of contracts relating to PSI’s business and external customers, including pharmaceutical companies, not-for-profits, governments and industrial clients.
Manage, draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to drug product development and production in partnership with key stakeholders and external parties (including outside counsel) as necessary
Track agreement progress, drive completion of contracts and update team on a weekly or more frequent basis.
Advise internal teams on contract lifecycle matters, including interpretation and enforcement, risk assessment, and compliance
Coordinate and assist in developing policies, procedures and systems to support and facilitate efficient contract development and analysis
Collaborate with Finance to ensure appropriate operations are met to fulfill contract obligations; support internal and external audits
A minimum of an undergraduate degree in business or a related scientific field
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech/ industry in a contracting role, with understanding of key contract provisions across various commercial functions
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to form productive partnerships
Strong commitment to detail, successful prioritization and time management skills; works with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Strong character and ethics, self-starter and interest in working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
