Summary of Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the role is to accurately process cash receipts in a timely manner and ensure all bank accounts have a zero balance daily.
Essential Job Functions
Post shared services and other miscellaneous billings.
Record and charge off bad debts.
Manage a portfolio of cash-in-advance accounts to ensure all receivables are accurately reported.
Partner with Credit and Collections team to ensure all discrepancies are communicated accurately and promptly.
Maintain compliance with all internal controls.
Manage SAP held orders as necessary.
Demonstrate a professional demeanor and provide a timely response to internal and external inquiries resulting in a satisfactory resolution.
Work with internal audit on cash application controls and perform the quarterly audit requirements for Lubrizol.
Work with Customer Customer Service, Account Managers, and Customer Assistance for resolution of ongoing issues or disputes.
Communicate end of month reconciliations to Treasury and Accounting.
Document cash application metrics as needed.
Investigate and process refunds as required by customer requests.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
Either a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a business discipline or an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of two years of cash application / commercial collection experience.
Solid work ethic (self-starter and highly motivated).
Excellent professional demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet required deadlines.
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Considered a Plus:
Experience with SAP.
Previous accounts receivable / cash application experience.
