PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Human Resources Development Program is designed to recruit, develop and retain high potential candidates who possess the skills, aspiration and mobility to develop into Human Resources leaders within the organization.

Entry to the program begins with an 18-month HR Generalist assignment at Lubrizol Advanced Material’s (LZAM) Headquarters in Brecksville, Ohio. For this role, you will report to Global HR Director for LZAM and support the LZAM Business HR team. While you will play an active role in the team and have clear accountabilities, your development will be focused on learning the organization, our businesses, and our process through projects assigned by the HR Director.

Mobility is an essential requirement for consideration for this program. You must be open to move throughout the US within 18 months, as your next assignment will be at a manufacturing/operations site or a role within the HR COE (talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, etc.)

PURPOSE:

This role will provide key support and analysis to the Lubrizol Advanced Materials Business HR team. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: preparing correspondence, presentations, reports, gathering and providing necessary data/analytics to monitor and support human resource activities. Must be able to work in a fast-paced matrix environment that that is built around collaboration, building relationships and delivering results.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Human Resource Support Initiatives

  • Process pay, title and organization changes via SAP HR

  • Manage leave management system for LZAM

  • Support HR team as needed, this includes report analysis, headcount reports

  • Maintain HR personnel folders and documents

  • Draft organizational announcements and site communications

  • Manage unemployment claims and respond to HR site requests

  • Manage fleet program for LZAM

  • Provide support to remote sites as needed, this includes reports/metrics

  • Special projects as assigned

  • Provide support to HR Partners for annual HR processes as needed (e.g., Performance & Career Management, Talent Reviews)

  • Manage Onboarding/Offboarding Process

  • Onboarding (e-mail to manager, onboard new hire, schedule benefits meeting)

  • Process terminations and generate internal communication

  • Brecksville Site Tasks

  • Work with wellness coach on programs and any external agency requests

  • Culture champion for employee events

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required

  • Previous HR experience is preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • SAP HR system experience preferred

  • Microsoft Office expertise including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to maintain an elevated level of confidentiality

  • Highly resourceful and flexible in accomplishing tasks and solving problems; self-starter

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects

  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and/or time constraints yet maintain accuracy in work output

  • Ability to work independently

  • High energy and ability to adjust to demanding business needs
