Sales Associate – LZAM Estane

Summary of Responsibilities

Lubrizol is seeking a highly motivated professional for a developmental sales role in its Engineered Polymers business. The successful candidate will spend 12 to 18 months in a developmental commercial role with the North America Estane TPU business. The program will include significant training with our world class technical, product management, customer service, and supply chain groups. As the candidate gains knowledge of the business, they will receive commercial sales skill and knowledge development from our most experienced sales and marketing professionals. Following the successful completion of the program and based on skills, aptitudes, and needs of the business, the position will lead to role in Sales within the organization, e.g., Account Manager, Business Development, Application Development, etc.

This position could be a natural progression for a person who has a strong desire to move their career into a commercial B2B sales role coming from functions such as Inside Sales, Sales Coordinator, Technical Service, etc. A strong work ethic and drive to win, coupled with excellent customer service and communication skills are key to success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow current and new accounts in line with the overall business strategy and sales management plans

  • Meet and exceed sales targets

  • Develop key and target account strategies and manage key customer programs and opportunities

  • Educate clients on industry related updates and trends

  • Build in-depth relationships with customer organizations, keeping abreast of competitive activity and market share information.

  • Provide timely and accurate output of various administrative requirements, such as customer interaction and visit reports, opportunity pipeline, sales forecasting, and expense reports.

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline, while maintaining and growing business at assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field or progressing toward completion with the addition of relevant professional experience.

  • Ability and desire to travel (up to 25%-50%) during program

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of technical / engineering sales and processes

  • Experience in sales or customer focused environment with emphasis on relationship-building

  • Knowledge and skill with sales software tools such as CRM, Excel, Powerpoint
