Vesta, a Lubrizol company is a contract manufacturer that specializes in producing thermoplastic extruded tubing and components for medical devices that are used in hospitals internationally. We strongly believe that it takes quality people to make quality products that are so important for everyday use, and we are always looking to expand our Vesta family. Vesta is located in Corona California which is located in Riverside County. We less than 30 miles away from the beach and Disneyland.

Vesta Corona, California location has a class 8 certified clean room, which is 17,000 square feet. We have 14 extrusion lines as well as co-ex lines. We are able to run multiple extruders which can produce a two layer, stripes and three layer extrusion.

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Project Manager is primarily responsible to lead cross-functional teams to plan and drive execution of projects, including new product programs, continuous improvement projects and programs. Leads cross-functional team including operations, engineering, quality, sales and finance to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.   Drives the use of project management tools in establishing timelines, building action item lists, assigning responsibility, completion dates and achieving milestones as well as following through to ensure completion and providing regular reporting of project status. 

 

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Manages cross-functional project teams throughout the project ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget
  • Maintains, updates and distributes reports to interested parties including team members, management and customers
  • Interfaces with customers or other external parties with regards to project status and updates
  • Utilizes Microsoft Project to manage timelines, build action items and assign responsibilities to achieve project milestones.
  • Works with management team to appropriately staff projects and identify misaligned priorities.
  • Promote use of tools and processes to drive improvement in overall schedule performance and accountability.
  • Is the focal point for project planning and communication
  • Understand and follow the SOP’s pertaining to the specific area.
  • Understand and follow the Work Instructions pertaining to the specific area
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering
  • Five or more years of experience in project management. Preferably certified in project management (PMP).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Proficient in MSOffice
  • Must be detailed oriented and proactive in follow-up and follow through
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet delivery dates in a fast-paced customer manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
