Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Supply Chain Manager provides overall leadership at the Gavà facility being responsible for leading and coordinating procurement, planning, logistics, warehouses and samples lab activities.

Job Functions :

  • Develop and execute strategy for the area of responsibility following quality (ISO9001/ISO22716) and safety standards (PRL/LZ std) to maximize the process efficiency and productivity developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and customers (internal/external).

  • Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations or laws.

  • Develop and execute the BCP for the key process and products adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities or cost reduction strategies.

  • Manage the workforce and assets to meet customer demand and goals set by the business.

  • Manage programs for continual improvement of all departments under responsibility jointly with the rest of the Operations area, Customer Service, Sales, R&D and Product Management.

  • Manage capital and department expense spending according to budget.

  • Manage personnel related issues (career development, succession planning, staffing, performance reviews, discipline, etc.) for direct reports.

  • Develop a culture that is responsive to the manufacturing environment and business needs through team work and personal responsibility and ownership of the process.

Knowledge, skills and qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance or similar relevant field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and managing teams.

  • Expertise on ISO9001:2015, ISO22716:2008 and PRL.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a must. French and Italian is an asset.

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, sea or road, including the relative costs and benefits.

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and customer satisfaction.

  • Proven ability to effectively lead with minimal supervision, demonstrating an entrepreneurial attitude.

  • Proven communication and networking skills.

  • Proven PC skills, including MS Office software

  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, commitment and follow-through while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.
