Our offer

We are looking for highly motivated top talents for our Commercial Rotational Program (CROP) at our office in Hamburg, Germany.

The Program

You will spend 12 months each in two Account Management roles (Sales and OEM Group) within our account teams. At the successful conclusion of the program, it is envisaged that you transition into an account role, based upon demonstrated skills and the needs of the organization.

The program consists of formal training, informal skill development, in field-shadowing and internal client contact. You will work collaboratively with Account Managers, Product Managers and Project Managers to support multiple activities that ensure continued success for Lubrizol across a wide range of technology solutions. You will develop knowledge of customers, performance profiles, OEM’s, market forces and competitors. Interaction with representatives from offices throughout Europe will accelerate learning and development.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support | Current and new accounts in line with the overall business strategies

  • Analyse | Interpret | Data for specific OEMs, products and identify key trends to help in the development of appropriate strategies

  • Develop | Relationships at the customer and OEM interface to keep abreast of competitive activity, market information and macroeconomic information

  • Assist | In the development and maintenance of account tools in collaboration with others in the sales and OEM organisation

  • Apply | Timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks, such as customer interaction reports and sales forecasting

  • Work | With Operations supply chain teams to ensure product availability and quality requirements are met

  • Provide | Input to the planning of specific projects, as and when required

  • Prepare | Provide | Presentations and/or training for customers and other 3rd parties

  • Help | To compile relevant information and communicate these to others for the appropriate Lubrizol responses to be developed

  • Travel | Up to 20% domestic and international

Required Qualification and Expertise

  • Degree in relevant Business or Technical field (BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Vehicle construction) or equivalent experience.

  • Practical experience gained during internships and/or student employment.

  • First employment after graduation up to 3 years of advantage but not a prerequisite (program can be tailored based on individual experience).

  • Basic knowledge of lubricant, additive or metalworking industry considered a plus

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Computer literate in Office 365 Microsoft applications | Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS, One Note

  • Openness to geographic mobility an advantage

  • Excellent communication skills (includes active listening)

  • Very good analytical skills

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as team-oriented
