•Provide leadership and guidance for operations within the context of the business strategy.

•Provide direct supervision of TempRite compound operators.

•Have overall responsibility for safety, training, utilization, overtime optimization and discipline for operations personnel in the compound manufacturing area.

•Optimize throughput of the compound d operation; determine resources required to meet production schedule from both

a short-term and long term perspective.

•Serve as a technical resource for a batch operation. Participate in process troubleshooting, development and optimization of new equipment and product lines, development and implementation of process control schemes and resolution of environmental issues.

•Other responsibilities: may serve as back-up to manufacturing manager; may be involved with communications to other functional areas of business including R&D and Sales and Marketing.


•Five years minimum experience in combination of process engineering experience and manufacturing management.

•B.S. in chemical engineering or related technical field.

•Proven leadership skills.

•Good verbal and written communication skills.

•Strong PC skills in all Microsoft Office applications; ability to master appropriate business software.


•Supervisory experience in union environment.

•Mechanical engineering background

•Familiarity with SAP
