This position with CPI Fluid Engineering, reports to the Product Manager - Refrigeration, with dotted line to the Product Manager – Industrial. The Product Specialist provides daily and ongoing product support to the Product Management team including monthly and quarterly financial sales, margin tracking and analysis, customer support and quotation assistance, and Sales group assistance as it relates to product issues. This role requires commercial acumen, intellectual capability to turn complex technical information into viable commercial solutions, and courage to drive and retain value.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Creates and maintains daily, monthly, and quarterly financial analyses for volume and UOI tracking for the Product Management team, including preparation and distribution of reports.
Develops and maintains product trend analyses such as Quad 80/20.
Assists Product Managers in daily maintenance issues including price list maintenance, customer quotations, and regulatory needs
Commercial Owner for projects that support existing products in the market.
Support of product development projects, including translating customer inputs into product requirements.
Acts as team interface at interdepartmental project meetings where necessary
Development of product documentation, technical training & support material (applications notes, training presentations, application success stories, and product data sheets, etc.)
Coordination with Product Managers on product line simplification
Coordination with PTS & TAS on product specifications Requirements – Education, Experience, Skills
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or an engineering related discipline.
A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in combination of technical or industry related Sales, Marketing, or Product Development role. Knowledge of lubrication oils is a plus.
Demonstrated track record of effective leadership in past roles
Ability to work well in a team.
Financial acumen and analytical capabilities
Strong organizational skills; ability to manage many tasks or projects in a fast-moving environment
Capable of independent action; takes initiative
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
High-level of proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Professional, Adobe InDesign
