Lubrizol LifeSciences, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, is seeking a well-qualified sales professional to serve and grow our Midwest Region . This manager will be responsible for representing Lubrizol LifeScience’s Medical Polymers offering and product development services within this territory, focusing on the Medical Device Market Segment.

The candidate will work independently and in a team environment, owning and supporting customers while being accountable for driving sustainable, profitable revenue growth by:

  • Establishing high-wide-deep relationships at assigned medical device OEMs and contract manufacturers to gain greater understanding of stated and unstated needs, business strategies, warning signs, etc.

  • Developing and executing formal account plans to meet short and long-term financial performance targets.

  • Establishing and managing a robust opportunity funnel by identifying, validating, and advancing new opportunities to position our medical polymers and developmental services portfolio.

  • Engaging new OEM targets within the assigned region to support key strategic initiatives and long-term growth goals.

  • Establishing and building sustainable, collaborative relationships with Lubrizol LifeSciences support teams (marketing, technical service, operations, applications development) to ensure best-in-class fulfillment of customer needs and completion of customer projects.

  • Understanding and communicating market trends, customers’ strategies, and competitive landscape.

  • Positioning Lubrizol LifeSciences as the medical device polymers and product development services provider of choice.

  • Maintaining and reporting accurate CRM records.

  • Proactively working with operations and customer service to deliver accurate forecasts and resolve customer complaints.

  • Becoming a subject matter expert for Lubrizol LifeSciences medical polymers and development services with the goal of being a consultative sales professional

  • Professionally representing and promoting Lubrizol LifeSciences at regional trade shows and conferences as required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • 5+ years of professional experience selling or marketing into the medical device OEM industry (experience with high value medical grade polymers preferred).

  • Positive, Persistent, Resilient

  • Highly organized and disciplined

  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, domestically

  • Experience in implementing new products, solutions, and value selling

  • Strong technical aptitude for materials

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business-related discipline

  • Engineering, plastics/materials, or prior relevant professional experience

  • Demonstrated account management / relationship management skills

  • A team player with the ability to work independently
