Primary responsibility for the management of the Engineering function on site. Includes all Maintenance aspects, Process design, Process safety, Control and instrumentation, Site Services and Energy.
To lead medium and long term strategic direction of all the above functions.
Develop long term Asset replacement strategy.
Coordinate and manage all engineering expenditure, including project management, process safety and delivery of CAPEX programmes.
To manage in-house and contract engineering staff, and provide professional mechanical, control, electrical and instrumentation expertise to the site.
Management of plant control systems.
Responsible for recruitment, individual performance and career management and learning and development of Engineering staff.
Establish and provide best industrial practice and compliance to legislative and regulatory standards.eg Pressure systems, DSEAR.
Responsible Engineer for all Engineering operations within in a top tier CoMAH regulated facility.
Expertise / Knowledge / Skills
A degree (BEng) or equivalent in a related discipline.
Chartered Engineer and a member of a Professional Institute.
A good knowledge of all engineering disciplines with a broad engineering background, with detailed understanding of pressure systems, safety instrumented systems and DSEAR.
Knowledge should have been gained in a top tier COMAH regulated industry.
Ideally experience in Chemical Manufacturing industry.
Experience of working at senior level of management.
Proven track record of good budgetary control and managing large capital expenditure projects.
Experience of managing technical and organisational change in Engineering environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Established experience in developing relationships with regulatory authorities.

The Mostyn site is located in a small village in Flintshire, North Wales lying on the estuary of the River Dee.
