Responsibilities

• Manage sales activities for the responsible accounts in PCG Japan team

• Foster a solutions-based, value selling culture with team members and customers

• Responsible for achieving targets for sales revenue, volume, material margin and gross profit

• Manage the development and effectiveness of the customer impact statements and customer value communication for the responsible accounts

• Manage direct accounts, inside sales accounts, and distributors

• Establish collaborative relationships with key customers

• Gather spoken and unspoken needs through voice-of-customer interviews

• Identify, assess and secure new sales opportunities

• Maximize current positions of strength by focusing on profitable growth areas

• Establish plans to address value solutions

• Management of price increases

• Work closely with marketing on value pricing all current and future solutions

• Continue driving mindset transition from selling products to selling solutions

• Assess/optimize channels to market

• Regular communication to team members, internal partners and business management regarding business development, competition activity and market trends

 

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in a technical field or Bachelors degree with Business.

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in graphic arts (ink), coating, or digital printing, industry, preferably.

- Willingness and ability to travel more than 50% of the time

- Demonstrated abilities and successes in implementing new product, solution, technology and value selling programs

- Ability to work in a matrix organization and develop relationships with internal partners including customer service, supply chain, product management and demand management

- Appropriate English communication level, at least daily conversation level

- Fluent in Japanese writing, reading and speaking
