Program Manager

Chemtool Incorporated in Rockton, Illinois is currently recruiting for an experienced Program Manager. The Program Manager is responsible for managing customers’ product platforms and coordinating new product development and commercialization in order to achieve organizational goals.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage complex projects and coordinate with teams from initiation to successful completion, including but not limited to:

  • Work with the Commercial team to translate business plans and commercial targets into technical projects and product commercialization

  • Work with Product Managers to ensure alignment with product portfolio

  • Work with Technology to develop action plans and schedules for new product developments

  • Work with Regulatory to ensure regional compliance for new product formulations and labeling requirements

  • Work with Packaging to develop and implement new customer packaging and labeling

  • Work with Supply Chain, Customer Service and Operations to effectively and efficiently commercialize new products

  • Monitor results and adjust work plans accordingly to ensure results are achieved on-time and on-budget

  • Effectively communicate status of projects to internal and external stakeholders through timely and comprehensive reporting and presentations

  • Develop risk plans used to provide and help manage future projects and programs

  • Build relationships to develop long-term partnerships with sales and external customers

  • Represent Chemtool with key customers

Education/Certification

  • Bachelors degree in chemical, mechanical or manufacturing engineering is preferred. Bachelors degree is required.

  • PMP certification is preferred

Experience/Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial lubricants and/or additives, oil, specialty chemical, petrochemical, automotive engineering, or mechanical testing industries

  • Demonstrated ability in project planning, execution, and obtaining results

  • Ability to identify customer and/or technical project parameters and develop realistic solution targets

  • Experience operating as a key player in a multifunctional team environment

  • Technical (OEM, Engineering) skills to assist external customers and sales with performance or specification related queries

  • Understands ROI economics or has a working knowledge and understanding of resourcing time and cost vs. solution value

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs to include Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and Project

  • Advanced math and reading skill

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (oral/written)

  • Ability to work independently (self-starter)

Supervisory Responsibility and Reporting

  • This position has no supervisory responsibility.

  • The Program Manager reports to the Director of Project/Product Management.
