Supply Chain Specialist - LATAM

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The customer service – Indent is responsible for working with the global LZAM commercial and operations organization to own the indent orders for the fast-growing markets in Latin America, while gaining valuable experience in LZAM Supply Chain across all Business Units.

Indent orders are defined as orders shipped directly to customers in Latin America from supply points outside the Latin America region.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Be part of the LZAM Global Operations Team

  • Serve LZAM customers in all countries in the Latin American region (Zone 4)

  • Process and manage all indent orders , including samples, to LZAM customers in Latin America

  • Ensure pricing, incoterms and payment terms are accurate and up-to-date

  • Ensure compliance with all Import/Export regulatory requirements for indent orders

  • Diligently follow up on customer feedback and complaints resulting from indent orders

  • Stock transfer orders to replenish stock in Mexico and Brazil will be handled by the existing teams

  • Customer orders fulfilled from stock in Mexico and Brazil will be handled by the existing teams

  • Contribute to enhancing Lubrizol’s value proposition by delivering outstanding service to customers

  • Be the single point of contact for all indent orders to LZAM customers in Latin America

  • Keep internal and external customers informed of order status in a timely manner

  • Ensure proactive communication with supply and logistics owners for each supply route

  • Escalate supply issues as needed, and as proactively as possible

  • Collaboratively develop practical solutions to mitigate customer impact from supply disruptions

  • Provide timely and high-quality response to requests from internal and external customers

  • Use Lubrizol’s standard systems for all transactions, reports and analyses to drive efficiency

  • Contribute to continuous improvement in our planning and order fulfillment processes

  • Optimize cost-to-serve by combining transactions and consolidating shipments where practical

  • Provide input to Demand Forecasting using insights from the customer interactions

  • Reduce the company’s exposure to risk through the recognition of trends among customer complaints; push for timely root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures

  • Implement standard service offerings, including customer segmentation strategies, as designed for the respective business units

  • Initiate and lead projects to help Lubrizol achieve better customer satisfaction from indent orders

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a technical discipline (e.g. chemistry, engineering, business, logistics).

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain, customer service, sales, marketing, technical service or product management.

  • Experience in customer-facing functions

  • Knowledge on Controls Compliance, Foreign Trade, Local Taxes and certificate needs

  • Fluency in English and Spanish

  • Computer literacy and analytical skills (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

CONSIDERED A PLUS :

  • Experience in foreign trade and in working with global teams in multinational companies

  • SAP and CRM proficiency

  • APICS certification (either CPIM, CLTD or CSCP)

  • Advanced educational qualifications

  • Domain experience (e.g. manufacturing, supply chain, product management)

  • Knowledge of Lubrizol’s product portfolio / applications / technology
