Process Engineer


The Process Engineer ensures safe and reliable operations in plant manufacturing activities and processes. Leading Continuous Improvement ORMS/CI program in the plant.


  • To monitor and analyze plant process, equipment performance and production output to support process optimization, improvement in manufacturing efficiency and reduction in cost.

  • Continue to enhance process capability and improve product quality using statistical analysis and implementation of improved control strategies.

  • Provide task/process training and transfer technical knowledge in manufacturing and troubleshooting.

  • Use and maintain systems associated with Management of Change, Process Safety Management, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and RC 14001.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable internal and external Lubrizol and HSE policies.

  • Estimate capital and manufacturing costs for purposes of justifying project economics.

  • Design, execute, analyze and report (both written and verbal) on multiple projects, following the Lubrizol Project System management.

  • Provide technical and engineering support to regional projects.

  • Develop annual ORMS/CI objectives and implementation plan. (ORMS Operation Reliable Management System)

  • Lead and coach Operation team by using lean and 6 sigma methodologies to achieve Continuously Improvement plan (QCDMS KPI) REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a petrochemical manufacturing environment.

  • Strong fundamental knowledge of engineering principals with proven problem-solving abilities.

  • Very strong “hands-on” mechanically and chemically oriented process-engineering skills.

  • Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 internal and external audits.

  • Self-starter with a drive and desire to manage multiple projects from start to completion with effective and competitive results.

  • Proven leadership with multi-functional task-oriented teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of giving persuasive presentations to upper management.

  • Ability to work with others at all levels of the organization.

  • Customer-focused – responsive to internal and external customers.

  • Creative thinker with a proven track record of learning from both successes and failures.
