Chemtool Incorporated, based out of Rockton, Illinois is currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial Fluids Account Manager for the Ontario, Canda territory. This position is responsible for contacting Chemtool Premier Customers and distributors to increase sales volumes in alignment with Commercial Sales goals. Customer contact will primarily be through customer visits and the position will be home office based.

Essential Job Functions

  • Understand the overall business, customers, products and technology as well as competitors.

  • Follow established sales plans to meet department objectives.

  • Manage multiple tasks and complete these in a timely fashion to enable the company to exceed customer expectations.

  • Communicate with stakeholders – commercial team, customers and other associates in a respectful and professional manner to foster a productive working environment.

  • Maintain a high work ethic (timeliness/punctuality) and abide by LZ/Chemtool legal & ethical guidelines.

Customer & Technical Support

  • Utilize Price Management System.

  • Work internally with product management team, customer service, finance (credit establishment), supply chain, and R&D to ensure that customer expectations are met or new customers are set up.

  • Work closely with customers and Chemtool’s contract review process to develop supply contracts with customers.

  • Understand the product line, and associated raw materials, manufacturing and QC processes.

  • Lead liaison between customers and the internal Chemtool organization for customer issues.

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Act as the champion for the assigned customers.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Chemtool’s Quality systems, policies, and organization.

  • Actively attend and participate in sales and technical meetings within and outside Chemtool.

Physical Requirements

  • As much as 75% travel within assigned region.

Education/Training

  • BS degree in chemistry or engineering field or a non-technical degree with sales experience.

  • Two years of experience in a technical commercial role is preferred.

Experience and Skills

  • Ability to listen and identify customer needs in order to provide the desired level of support.

  • Informed decision making, project prioritization and time management.

  • Negotiation and communication skills to deal with routine and challenging business situations.

  • Motivated self-starter who is willing to take initiative.

  • Team player who is also an individual performer.

  • Computer skills including: database, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP and pricing management systems is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility and Reporting

  • There is no supervisory responsibility with this role.

  • This position reports to the National Sales Manager.
