Vesta, a Lubrizol Company, creates custom medical manufacturing devices through silicone fabrication from its ISO 13485 certified facilities. Our products consist of silicone tissue expanders, sheeting, patches, and other medical devices. Vesta takes pride in the quality of our products and maintains quality staff on our team.
In the Victor, Montana location, we have several ISO 7 and ISO 8 certified clean rooms within our campus. Our controlled environment allow for multiple line operations to occur efficiently without compromising on quality.
Vesta is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer with creativity, enthusiasm, and experience in manufacturing, silicone, and medical devices. The Project Engineer is primarily responsible to interface with sales and customers to define customer requirements and specifications and utilize management tools in establishing timelines, building action item lists, assigning responsibility, completion dates and achieving milestones. Additionally, provide technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing floor, developing new processes, tooling and manufacturing concepts and work with tooling vendors for mold builds.
The Essential Duties will focus on development and implementation of optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes in accordance with our customer specifications and quality standards.
Implement continuous improvement on production methods and controls.
Coordinate launch of new or modified products.
Write, review, and execute validation and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) protocols for new equipment, processes, and products.
Demonstrated knowledge of root cause analysis, design of experiments, statistical analysis, problem solving techniques and/or other data driven skill sets.
Lead process improvement and waste elimination efforts through application of lean principles and actively participate in continuous improvement events.
Understand and follow the SOP’s and Work Instructions pertaining to the specific area.
Provide technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing floor in ensuring production of quality products.
Initiate problem-solving activities and provide engineering support should production problems occur.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and 3+ years’ experience. Preferred experience in medical device industry and familiarity with quality and regulatory systems, and lean manufacturing.
