E-Commerce Lead

The e-commerce lead, working across both divisions of Lubrizol (LZA and LZAM) from within IS, will lead efforts to define, develop, document, and support innovative Ecommerce features, content, and functionality in support of key business initiatives and goals. He/she will engage teams that are responsible for the design, development, production, and analysis for all website assets, online client acquisition, and retention activities with a goal to build a sustainable customer experience that challenges industry norms and raises the bar for all other competitors to follow.

Key activities include:

  • Serving as thought leader, work closely with Commercial Excellence team, Product, Sales & Marketing teams and Operations executive leadership to build and execute a phased go-to-market strategy and long-term sustainable vision.

  • Lead collaboration across Lubrizol business units, Sales & Marketing, Operations, IS and external partners to drive the digital vision for B2B e-commerce, optimizing the customer experience across all transactional touchpoints to ensure a high customer satisfaction and sales.

  • Ownership of e-commerce IS support model to ensure the technical infrastructure will facilitate the vision and goals of e-commerce.

  • Direct and manage technology implementation and ongoing support of online selling platform

  • Partner with user experience lead and user experience partners to ensure a positive user and brand experience within our online selling platform.

  • Manage enhancements to the e-commerce platform - both technical and process enhancements

  • Establish, document and deliver processes that will ensure sustainability of the e-commerce program vision.

  • Define and implement a reusable segmentation and conversion strategy for acquisition, nurture, retention to maximize conversion, feature adoption and customer lifetime value.

  • Develop and manage budget for specified area of responsibility and be accountable for delivering against established business goals.

  • Build, manage, and maintain relationships with third parties, vendors, and online partners.

  • Keep up to date with evolving online media and technology trends and explore new and effective products or enhancements that will improve site experience and generate revenue and profits.

  • Directs and controls the activities of a web analytics function accountable for delivering critical insights to the organization based on the analysis of web and application data.

  • Direct the solution development process, utilizing voice of the customer, innovation and idea systems, and thought leadership to generate, prioritize, design and build customer solutions that drive Lubrizol’s digital transformation.

  • Clear written and verbal communications to internal and external parties. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, marketing (digital focus), and user interface design or equivalent, with an emphasis on web development and digital marketing; a master’s degree considered a plus.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in web design & development and digital marketing. Experience with the following platforms/languages: HTML/CSS, Hybris Commerce Cloud, Sitecore CMS, Google Analytics, SharePoint, Office 365, and Mail Chimp.Considered a plus: HubSpot, WordPress, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and SAP experience.
