Security Administrator

The Security Administrator supports the day to day functions of the security department including the administration of the facility card access control system.Another key duty is the administration of the security photo ID system; this includes monitoring the system and providing badges to the employees of various Lubrizol locations worldwide.


  • Develop and assign access levels in the card access system for all employees requiring access at the Wickliffe facility

  • Administer employee photo ID program for the Wickliffe and Painesville facilities and maintain databases necessary for these processes

  • Procure and distribute vehicle hang tags to employees on an annual basis

  • Purchase security supplies, equipment , and services through SAP and/or Procurment Cards

  • Create maintenance work requests in SAP as needed for the security department

  • Periodically audit employee access levels and make modifications when necessary, especially as they pertain to higher security areas (data centers, medical dept., file storage, etc.)

  • Manage the programming and repair process for the approximately 800 Motorola two-way radios in use at Wickliffe and Painesville

  • Support Wickliffe Security projects and initiatives where appropriate

  • Serve as backup to the Security Systems Specialist with gate/barrier maintainance and troubleshooting

  • Manange and archive SharePoint Gate Log data on a monthly and annual basis

  • Manage all aspects of the Global S2 Access Control Credential and Traveler Request programs

  • Support Corporate Security initiatives by providing various global administrative responsibilities (40%)

  • Act as administrator for the site’s Active Learner Computer Based Training Database (10%)

Skills, Qualifications, Experience

  • High school diploma. Associate’s Degree preferred

  • Must possess strong computer skills, including knowledge of or ability to learn:

  • S2 Access control system software

  • S2 Photo ID software

  • Communicator Notification system

  • Milestone Video management system software

  • SAP

  • Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Access, and Excel)

  • Motorola Radio System Software packages

  • Various web-based resources

  • Knowledge of security operations at Wickliffe is preferred

  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly

  • Ability to communicate to atall organizational levels and with other Lubrizol facilities

  • Ability to be identify operational issues and react accordingly

  • Ability to multitask and delegate work as appropriate
