RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Maintains safe, reliable and efficient plant operation by strictly following company’s HSES regulations, rules and other disciplines.
Runs the manufacturing batch by controlling and monitoring the DCS sequences. Strictly follows the batch sheet and accurately records the operation log and abnormal conditions log. Communicates with shift foreman on any issues happened during batch progress. Keeps a detailed shift log to support shift foreman complete foreman log
Communicates with field operators to confirm the equipment status and tank situation. To achieve this goal, DCS operators should must provide a clear instruction to field operators, ask field operators check the pump status before and after each start up or shut down, check tank situation (temperature and level) before and after each material moving, double check the field line up before each material charging and moving.
Confirms with field operators on field LOTO and isolation, communication with other units or other departments for any issues happened in his/her shift.
DCS operators is responsible for answering the phone calls to control room, such call might be from other unit or other departments even from external vendors or local authorities. If needed, he/she can contact Shift Foreman or Process Engineer for help. DCS operators also need to contact other team/party for maintenance issues, material issues or quality issues.
Participates in HSES activities including near miss report, safety suggestion entry, incident investigation, field safety audit, emergency response, PSSR Review and equipment isolation for maintenance.
Attends product quality improvement activities like quality incident investigation, corrective action implementation and so on. Positively participates in plant trouble shooting.
Strictly implements TM (Tolling Manufacturing) program and ensure inventory counting in practice, verifies the inventory variation and confirms/executes the fixing action.
Implement daily instruction and other requirement from Shift Foreman, Section Superintendent, Process Engineer or Production Manager.
Keep control room in good order and clean. Checking the tools and supplies and report to Shift leader for inventory supplementation if any.
Provide the support to other employee or other shift upon the demanding. Take overtime during off day to support the operation team while called by shift foreman.
Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:
College degree or above in science disciplines, chemical background is preferred.
At least 2 years working experience in manufacturing industry, chemical related preferred, not required.
Good team player.
Willing to work on shift.
Willing to learn. LANGUAGE SKILLS:
English: Can read and simple speak
